Geocache Description:

Camp Floyd was the site of Johnston's Army from 1858 to 1861

Camp Floyd was the largest military installation in the U.S. at that time.

The Inn was used as a hotel and an officers commissary. Later the Inn was used as a Stagecoach & Pony Express stop.

The Military Cemetery is about 7/10 of a mile south of the Inn. You can start from that parking lot.

The Inn is located at N 40º 15.634 W 112º 05.579
The Cemetery is located at N 40º 15.157 W 112º 05.922

The park is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm and a small fee is charged for the tour of the Stagecoach Inn and the nice picnic area.
