Evenergy and I, planted this cache together. It's a little bit of a hike. GPS reception is poor at times due to the old growth cedar and fir trees, but the reception at the lookout is good. Start at the Fragrance Lake trail head. N 48 39.206 W 122 29.405. Hike thru some huge cedar and fir trees. The base of some of these trees are as large as the left over stumps from long ago logging. This forest really looks like old growth. Stay on the trail and you shouldn't have any problem getting to the viewpoint.
When at the viewpoint, notice Elisa Island to the west, and right behind it is Lummi Mt. On a clear day, the Olympics are in good view. We saw three seperate eagles glide right by us so quiet and free on the calm warm thermals. There were plenty of woodpeckers making there music, and a couple of hummingbirds visited the viewpoint while we were there too. The viewpoint has enough clearing to get a good GPS reading so it shouldn't be hard to find the cache.
For added pleasure, Hike another mile up to Fragrance Lk. The trail then circumnavigates the lake and is a very nice walk in my opinion.
