Join the Dereham Litter Pickers on one of their fortnightly litter picking stints.
They will supply: bags; litter pickers; hi vi's vests and take the rubbish away at end of session, 12 noon.
Meet up in the Queen Mother's Garden at 9.45 for safety talk, equipment, to sign the log and to be given instructions on where they want you to pick up litter. As this is down to the organisers, the terrain element of this CITO can range from a 1/1 for the high street to a 1/3.5 if river cleaning is called for, or you are litter picking in the water meadow, which in places is always wet! Picking will start at 10.00 and last for the whole 2 hours.
There is a sloped slabbed pathway into the garden suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
The rubbish collected is weighed and recorded.
