Pi-Day kan worden gezien als een feestdag gewijd aan de wiskundige constante π. Op de veertiende dag van de derde maand wordt Pi-Day wereldwijd op deze dag gevierd. De driecijferige benadering voor π is namelijk 3,14. Het mooiste was natuurlijk om ook het tijdstip aan te passen aan π, maar dat leek ons niet zo heel handig qua tijdstip. Daarom heten we iedereen van harte welkom om het weekend in te luiden op deze vrijdagmiddag van 17.00-18.00uur.
Voor de gelegenheid is er eveneens een geocachingsouvenir te verdienen, maar enkel door een mysteriecache te loggen.
Trackables / Coins
Tijdens de Meet & Greet is er uiteraard de mogelijkheid om trackables en/of geocoins uit te wisselen of te discoveren. Voor grote trackables wordt gevraagd deze weer mee te nemen wanneer ze niet meegenomen worden door andere geocachers.
Als locatie is gekozen voor Strijp-S. We hopen natuurlijk op mooi weer, maar mocht het gaan regenen dan kunnen we op deze coordinaten ook droog staan.

Pi-Day can be seen as a holiday dedicated to the mathematical constant π. On the fourteenth day of the third month, Pi-Day is celebrated worldwide on this day. Indeed, the three-digit approximation for π is 3.14. Of course, the best thing was to also adjust the time of day to π, but that didn't seem very convenient in terms of timing. Therefore we welcome everyone to usher in the weekend on this Friday afternoon from 5:00pm-6:00pm.
For the occasion, a geocaching souvenir can also be earned, but only by logging a mystery cache.
Trackables / Coins
During the Meet & Greet there is of course the possibility to exchange or discover trackables and/or geocoins. For large trackables it is requested to bring them back when they are not taken by other geocachers.
As location Strijp-S has been chosen. Of course we hope for nice weather, but should it rain we can also stand dry at these coordinates.
