The Earthcache celebrates its 20th birthday!
On 10.01.2004 the first Earthcache was published in Australia by „geoaware“. It bears the name:
GCHFT2: „Earthcache I – a simple geology tour of Wasp Head“
14 days later it got its first „Found it“ log.
If you search for „old“ earth caches, you will still find a few with an earlier publication date. These caches were other cache types when they were published and were later converted into earth caches.
We want to meet monthly to celebrate this 20th anniversary year of Earthcaches! We will always meet at beautiful earthcaches and answer them together. We hope that the owners will be on site and support us with their knowledge in answering the questions.
Our kick-off event for the anniversary took place on 10.01.2024 in Goslar and was very well received. Together with over 40 geocachers, we celebrated the anniversary „20 years of Earthcaches“ at -10 degrees. The highlight was a freshly published EC, 20 meters away. Together with the owner, we talked shop on the subject of „sandworms“ and answered questions.
But who are we?
Geo and Logia are a group of „earth dwarves“ (geocachers) who like to play earth caches. Since we are lovers of EC’s, we know as feedback of course:
• too scientific
• stupid
• too complicated
• too time-consuming
• I don’t enjoy it, but I do it anyway etc.
Our wish is to make Earthcaches less „awful and scientific“ and bring them closer to all geocachers.

La Earthcache fête ses 20 ans !
Le 10.01.2004, la première Earthcache a été publiée en Australie par « geoaware ». Elle porte le nom :
GCHFT2 : « Earthcache I – a simple geology tour of Wasp Head »
14 jours plus tard, elle a reçu son premier journal « Found it ».
Si vous recherchez des « anciennes » Earthcache, vous en trouverez encore quelques-unes avec une date de publication antérieure. Ces caches étaient d'autres types de caches lorsqu'elles ont été publiées et ont ensuite été converties en Earthcache.
Nous voulons nous réunir tous les mois pour célébrer cette année du 20e anniversaire des Earthcache ! Nous nous retrouverons toujours dans de belles Earthcache et y répondrons ensemble. Nous espérons que les propriétaires seront sur place et nous soutiendront avec leurs connaissances pour répondre aux questions.
Notre événement de lancement pour l'anniversaire a eu lieu le 10.01.2024 à Goslar et a été très bien accueilli. Avec plus de 40 géocacheurs, nous avons fêté l'anniversaire des « 20 ans des Earthcaches » à -10 degrés. Le point culminant a été un EC fraîchement publié, à 20 mètres de distance. Avec le propriétaire, nous avons discuté du sujet des « vers de sable » et répondu à des questions.
Mais qui sommes-nous ?
Geo et Logia sont un groupe de « nains de la terre » (géocacheurs) qui aiment jouer aux earth caches. Comme nous sommes des amateurs d'EC, nous savons bien sûr que les commentaires sont les suivants :
• trop scientifique
• stupide
• trop compliqué
• trop chronophage
• Je n'aime pas ça, mais je le fais quand même, etc.
Notre souhait est de rendre les Earthcaches moins « horribles et scientifiques » et de les rapprocher de tous les géocacheurs.

J'ai vraiment hâte d'accueillir les cacheurs locaux et bien sûr les cacheurs de vacances près de l'horloge à vapeur.

地球寶藏慶祝 20 歲生日！
2004 年 10 月 1 日，第一個地球寶藏由「geoaware」在澳洲出版。它的名字是：
GCHFT2：“地球寶藏 I – 黃蜂頭 (Wasp Head) 的簡單地質之旅”
14 天后，它收到了第一個「找到它」日誌。
如果你搜尋「古老」的地球藏寶，你仍然會發現一些出版日期更早的藏寶。這些快取在發佈時是其他快取類型，後來被轉換為地球快取。
我們希望每月聚會一次來慶祝 Earthcaches 成立 20 週年！我們將永遠在美麗的地球寶藏處相聚，一起解答這些問題。我們希望業主能夠親自到現場，並用他們的知識支持我們解答問題。
我們的周年紀念啟動活動於 2024 年 1 月 10 日在戈斯拉爾舉行，並受到了熱烈歡迎。我們與 40 多位地理藏寶者一起在零下 10 度的氣溫下慶祝了「地球藏寶 20 週年」。亮點是20米外剛發布的EC。我們和店主一起談論了有關“沙蟲”的話題並回答了問題。
但我們是誰？
Geo 和 Logia 是一群喜歡玩地球尋寶遊戲的「地球矮人」（地理藏寶者）。由於我們是 EC 的愛好者，因此我們當然知道回饋：
• 太科學
• 愚蠢
• 太複雜
• 太耗時
• 我不喜歡它，但我還是會做等等。
我們的願望是讓地球藏寶不再那麼“可怕和科學”，並讓所有地理藏寶者更接近它們。

Der Earthcache feiert seinen 20. Geburtstag!
Am 10.01.2004 wurde in Australien der erste Earthcache von „geoaware“ veröffentlicht. Er trägt den Namen:
GCHFT2: „Earthcache I – a simple geology tour of Wasp Head“
14 Tage später bekam er seinen ersten Fundlog.
Auf der Suche nach „alten“ Earthcaches findet man noch ein paar wenige mit einem früheren Veröffentlichungs-Datum. Diese Caches waren bei deren Veröffentlichung andere Cache-Typen und wurden erst später in Earthcaches umgewandelt.
Wir wollen uns zu diesem 20. Jubiläumsjahr der Earthcaches monatlich treffen und dieses feiern! Dabei werden wir uns immer an schönen Earthcaches treffen und diese gemeinsam beantworten. Wir hoffen, daß die Owner dann mit vor Ort sind und uns mit ihrem Wissen bei der Beantwortung der Fragen unterstützen.
Unser Auftakt-Event zum Jubiläum fand am 10.01.2024 in Goslar stand und hat großen Anklang gefunden. Gemeinsam mit über 40 Geocachern feierten wir bei -10 Grad das Jubiläum „20 Jahre Earthcaches“. Als Highlight gab es einen frisch gepublishten EC 20 Meter weiter. Gemeinsam mit dem Owner fachsimpelten wir über das Thema „Sandwürmer“ und beantworteten die Fragen.
Doch wer sind wir?
Geo und Logia sind eine Gruppe von „Erdzwergen“ (Geocachern), die gerne Earthcaches spielen. Da wir Liebhaber von EC´s sind, kennen wir als Rückmeldung natürlich auch:
• zu wissenschaftlich
• doof
• zu kompliziert
• zu aufwendig
• habe ich keinen Spaß dran, mache ich aber trotzdem usw.
Unser Wunsch ist es, die Earthcaches weniger „schrecklich und wissenschaftlich“ zu machen und allen Geocachern näher zu bringen.
