This year's event falls on the Thursday after the Daylight Savings Time adjustment. So we will have plenty of time to celebrate Pi Day (Weather Permitting). Being March, we could have run the gamut of weather conditions during this event. Since it is an outdoor event dress appropriately.
Bring a PIE to share - 6:28pm
The biggest question will be what type of pie will you be bringing? Will it be a Sheppard's Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, Pizza Pie, an Apple Pie, or another type of Pie??
March 14th is Pi Day, celebrated by math enthusiasts everywhere. Where else but a CIRCLE to celebrate the concept of Pi/Pie?
The lower-case Greek letter Pi is the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi = 3.1415926535… With the use of computers, Pi has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits past the decimal. Pi is an irrational and transcendental number meaning it will continue infinitely without repeating.
Please join us with your favorite pie and socializing.
