Heute feiern wir mit der ganzen Welt 25 Jahre Geocaching! 25 Jahre (und ein paar Tage) ist es her, dass das GPS-Signal kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt und der erste Geocache ausgelegt wurde. Welche tollen Abenteuer durften wir durch dieses großartige Hobby nicht schon gemeinsam erleben!

Wir wollen diesen Tag auch gemeinsam ausklingen lassen. Dazu treffen wir uns ab 15 Uhr zu diesem Community Celebration Event. Als Location dient das Steintheater am Hellbrunner Berg, eine grandiose Freiluftbühne, die hier im 17. Jahrhundert in den Fels gemeißelt wurde.

Die Location bietet ausreichend Schutz vor Wind und Regen. Aber beachtet bitte, dass es hier heroben weder Essen, Trinken, noch Toiletten gibt.

Am Weg hier herauf kann natürlich noch der eine oder andere Cache geloggt werden. Einen Earth-Cache gibt es direkt vor Ort.

Today we celebrate 25 years of Geocaching! It was 25 years (and a couple of days) ago that accurate GPS signal has been made available free of charge and that the first geocache was hidden.

We would like to conclude this day together with this Community Celebration Event starting at 3 p.m. We will meet at the “Rock Theater”, a huge, artificial cave on Hellbrunn mountain, created in the 17th century as a theatrical stage.

The location provides reasonable shelter from wind and rain. However, note that there is no food, water, or toilet nearby.

On the way up, some caches and LAB stages can be found. And don’t miss the Earth Cache right at this location.
