A litter pick at the western end of Aberavon Beach with help from Keep Wales Tidy, who are supplying a litter picking kit. We will meet at the posted coords which is a pay & display car park but there is free roadside parking nearby, where you can collect your equipment before making your way to the beach for a bit of beach cleaning. Dogs are welcome but are only allowed on the beach to the north west and not the main beach to the south east. They must also remain on leads on the promenade. Come along and help improve a small piece of the geocaching game board, the world.
In September 2013, the GAGB promoted a weekend of CITO events to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This evolved into an Annual Weekend of CITOs, and later into a full CITO Week from 2019 onwards. Now, for the first time ever, there will be two CITO weeks in a calendar year – one in the spring and another in the autumn.
The dates are Saturday 25th May 2024 to Friday 31st May 2024 and Saturday 26th October 2024 to Friday 1st November 2024.
These fall within Groundspeak’s CITO Seasons, so you may earn a souvenir by attending a GAGB CITO event. In addition, all hosts will earn a special profile badge as a thank you for organsing a GAGB-branded CITO, and there will be another profile badge for attendees.
