The Old Duffers are holding an event at the war memorial at High Etherley on Friday the 30th of May. tae celebrate their road trip tae a couple o foreign lands tae which aw Geocachers are welcome it starts at 9.00 tae 9.30. Fir awbody wae likes a bit o history it wis on this date Rene Thomas won the Indianapolis 500 n the largest ocean liner RMS Aquitania set sail on her maiden voyage from Liverpool tae New York. The AULD Duffers include Beano n Dandy yin haf o, Granandme, numpties96 n the white beard, three o us will be there as yin is awa playing on boats. We intend travelling through Sassenach land picking up a few caches then o'er the watter tae France fir a Mega GCA9YTX n visiting as many war memorial sites as possible then on tae Belguim n then Germany tae Bad Frankenhausen so the AULD Duffers kin get a few geocaches n also dump off the white beard, 😊 horrah they say afore heading back.
