🌳🌳🌳 TREE CARE IN THE COMMUNITY WOODLAND AT HORSBERE 🌳🌳🌳
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere Brook Reserve. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the Reserve (alternative parking / meet-up point).
Where: Meet by the main gates at 09:30 (alternative parking coords) or after that time find us in the QGC Woodland on The Mound (published coords).
What: Join us as we continue caring for the trees in the Community Woodland. These trees are among the most established at Horsbere and many are now mature enough to have their supporting stakes removed. We will also be checking guards and ties, as well as clearing around the base of the trees and adding a layer of mulch. This will allow us to clear the mulch pile ready for a future picnic site.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to please bring your own work gloves if possible and if you wish to bring your own tools (hammer, shears) please do so. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring a drink and/or snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
