Attend a CITO event between 1st March - 31st May to earn the official souvenir
🌳🌳🌳 TREE CARE IN CLIFF'S WOOD AT HORSBERE RESERVE 🌳🌳🌳
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere Brook Reserve. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the Reserve (alternative parking / meet-up point).
Where: Meet by the main gates at 09:30 or after that time find us in Cliff's Wood (event coordinates). See waypoint for kissing gate access from the main track.
What: Join us as we continue caring for the young trees in Cliff's Wood. We will be checking guards and stakes, as well as weeding around the base of the trees. We also plan to blanket mulch the mini-forest area of the woodland, to suppress weed growth and give the trees a nutrient boost.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to please bring your own work gloves if possible and if you wish to bring your own tools (hammer, shears) please do so. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring a drink and/or snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
