Wednesday 29th May - Tree Loving in the Hedge
9:30 - 12:30
Parking: There is some on street parking opposite the reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby). Please note the location of the newly applied double yellow lines (and avoid these!)
Where: We will meet by the wooden gate opposite Laxton Road at 9:30 on Lobleys Drive or find us in hedges within the meadows.
What: We will be caring for newly planted trees within the hedgerows - clearing weeds, checking guards and stakes and doing some light trimming.
How: The Countryside Ranger will provide guidance and any necessary tools. There will also be plenty of friendly volunteers to offer help and advice too. Please bring work gloves and drinks and snacks for breaktime. All tools will be provided.
Health and Safety: You will be covered by the council insurance if working under the direction of the ranger. Children will need close supervision and pets kept under control.
