Co je challenge keš

Toto je challenge keš a pro její zalogování nestačí jen nález a zápis do logbooku. Je třeba navíc splnit i níže stanovenou podmínku. Do fyzického logbooku je možné se zapsat i před splněním podmínky. V takovém případě si návštěvu zalogujte logem typu Poznámka (Write note) a na den, kdy podmínku v budoucnu splníte, přidejte další log typu Nalezeno (Found it).
Prosím, nenechávejte si logování nálezu, až se to bude hodit. Není to moc poctivé. Pokud během návštěvy podmínku splňujete, logujte rovnou nález. Jinak logujte nález na datum dodatečného splnění podmínky, případně na datum druhé návštěvy keše po splnění. Díky za pochopení.

Taky tak rádi cestujete na pražské periferie? Hezké často moc nejsou, vyhlášené památky a podniky jsou taky spíš v centru. Ale periferie mají svého ducha, jsou rozlehlé, rozmanité a vejde se tam spousta keší.

On ten výraz je většinou trochu hanlivý. Ošklivým a opuštěným oblastem uvnitř města se také říká vnitřní periferie. Z celkem normálních čtvrtí umí periferii udělat například věnování příliš prostoru dopravě, ať už dopravním stavbám nebo parkovištím. Nebo také přebujelá venkovní reklama, ať už legální nebo ta nelegální. Na druhou stranu i periferní oblasti města mohou být krásnými příjemnými místy s klidnou přírodou a mírumilovnou zástavbou.

Mně se například líbí severozápadní okraj Prahy, nejen protože jsem v Suchdole strávil část života. Když nad tím tak přemýšlím, tak vlastně nemůžu říct, že by se mi někde nelíbilo vůbec. Každé místo má své kouzlo, i když ne na první pohled viditelné. Budu rád, když do logu napíšete, která periferie se vám líbí nebo nelíbí, nebo k jaké máte nějaký zvláštní vztah.

Lokalita: Motolská navážka

Samotnou krabičku s logbookem najdete na jednom velmi periferním místě. Motolská navážka je nenápadný, částečně zarostlý, ale vlastně celkem velký kopec mezi Motolem, Řepami a Bílou horou. Mohlo by to být krásné místo se zajímavým využitím, ale plány na rekultivaci naráží na problémy, z nichž největší je kontaminace těžkými kovy či ropnými látkami. Studie z roku 2017 vyčíslila náklady na sanaci na půl miliardy.

V 70. letech skládka vznikla hlavně pro deponování odpadu ze stavby metra a později ze stavby motolské nemocnice, což jsou většinou inertní odpady. Jenže v novém tisíciletí za podivných právních okolností na skládce nekontrolovaně přibýval všelijaký další odpad včetně nebezpečných jedů. Dnes je navážka zakonzervovaná a pro samosprávy představuje problém, o kterém by se nejraději nebavily a dělaly, že není. Místo je domovem náletových dřevin a městských zvířat. Láká k průzkumům, zevlování, výhledům a dráždí i umělce a urbanisty. Například českoamerická malířská dvojice Conrad Armstrong a Viktor Valášek známá jako CONVICT v rámci CirculUM 2020 uspořádala projekt Pouť na motolskou navážku.

Kudy ke keši

Keš se nachází na uvedených souřadnicích. Směrem ze západu od cyklostezky (waypoint Tudy) je oblast navážky volně přistupná po pohodlné cestě, z ostatních stran se postupně rozpadají ploty, takže se najdou i jiné cesty. Posledních pár metrů ze svahu dolů může být trochu zarostlo. Dávejte pozor, kam šlapete. Z vrcholu kopce jsou výhledy do okolí na další periferní oblasti.

This is a challenge cache. Just finding it and signing in the logbook is not enough to log it as found. You also need to fulfill the condition below. It is possible to log into the physical logbook before the condition is met. In this case, log the visit with a Write note log and add another Found it log on the day you meet the condition in the future.
Please don't keep the find log for when it's convenient. It's a dirty play. If you meet the condition during the visit, log your find to the date of the visit. Theme: Urban peripheries

Do you also like to travel to Prague's peripheries? They're often not very nice, and the famous sights and businesses tend to be in the centre. But the peripheries have their own spirit, they're vast, diverse and you can fit a lot of caches there.

The term is usually a bit pejorative. The ugly and deserted areas inside the city are also called the inner periphery. For example, devoting too much space to traffic, whether it is traffic structures or parking lots, can make quite normal neighbourhoods into peripheries. Or the excessive outdoor advertising, whether legal or illegal. On the other hand, even the peripheral areas of a city can be beautiful pleasant places with quiet nature and peaceful buildings.

I, for example, like the northwestern outskirts of Prague, not only because I have spent part of my life in Suchdol. Come to think of it, I can't actually say that I don't like any place in Prague at all. Every location has its own charm, even if it is not visible at first sight. I'd be happy if you could write in your log which periphery you like or dislike, or have a special relationship with.

Location: the Motol dump

The container with the logbook itself can be found in one very peripheral place. Motolská navážka (Motol dump) is an inconspicuous, partly overgrown, but actually quite large hill between Motol, Řepy and Bílá Hora. It could be a beautiful place with interesting uses, but plans for reclamation are running into problems, the biggest of which is contamination by heavy metals or petroleum products. A 2017 study put the cost of remediation at half a billion Czech crowns.

In the 1970s, the landfill was created mainly to deposit waste from the construction of the metro and later from the construction of the Motol hospital, which is mostly inert waste. But in the new millennium, under strange legal circumstances, all sorts of other waste, including dangerous poisons, were being uncontrollably added to the landfill. Today, the landfill has been conserved and is a problem for local authorities, which they would rather not discuss and pretend does not exist. The site is home to self-seeding tree species and urban animals. It invites to exploration, gazing, views and irritates artists and urban planners. For example, the Czech-American painter duo Conrad Armstrong and Viktor Valášek, known as CONVICT, organised the project Pilgrimage to Motol dump as part of CirculUM 2020.

Which way to the cache

The cache is located at the given coordinates. From the cycle path on the west (waypoint This way), the area of the cache is freely accessible by a comfortable path. On the other sides the fences are gradually breaking down, so there are other ways. The last few metres down the slope to the cache may be a little overgrown. Be careful where you step. There are views from the top of the hill to other peripheral areas.
