Geocache Description:

16 June 2024, 15:00 - 16:00

Please join us for our litter-picking CITO on Lydstep Headland
Sunday 16th June 2024 3pm - 4pm

The plan is to meet at the free National Trust car park on the headland and fan out from there to pick up as much litter as possible. We will provide the bags, litter pickers and safety vests. Please bring your own gloves if you can.

A smattering of daisies and scrubby gorse on the flat, limestone Lydstep Headland in the foreground. Looking over the sea towards Caldey Island.

If you cannot get to Lydstep Headland, but can get to Tenby, we will be happy to give you a lift there and back if you'd like to attend. Please let us know a few days before so that we can make arrangements.

Please note that this headland is bordered by high sea cliffs. So do take care when near the edge.

Also, please note the following points that the Stackpole Estate Welcome Manager would like all CITO participants to be aware of:
1. Please leave as much natural material as possible.
2. If a participant finds a sick, dying or dead animal, please do not approach or attempt to remove it. Please call the Stackpole Centre reception on 01646 623110 for further advice.
3. Please ensure all participants have appropriate clothing to account for changes in weather. Consider whether sun cream, water for hydration and regular breaks are needed.
4. Please do not approach or attempt to recover toxic or chemical items, unidentifiable canisters, drug or medication paraphernalia, sharp objects or unexploded ordnance. Ask participants to notify the leader of any such objects and inform the Stackpole Centre reception on 01646 623110.

Permission kindly given for the CITO by the Stackpole Estate Welcome Manager, National Trust Wales.
