GeoMonkeyAU's First GeoBirthday

I am FINALLY celebrating my first GeoBirthday so I thought it would be appropriate to run an event. Come celebrate with me and have some fun!

Venue: Depena Reserve (Meet at the table)

Time: 1400 - 1630 (May 11)

Travel: By car, bus, whatever 

As well as a celebration, I will be also have a treasure hunt towards the end of the event to add some fun to this (otherwise boring) event.

I have been Geocaching for one year now. My real GeoBirthday is May the 13th but I thought it would be more appropriate to run this event on a weekend instead of a weekday. During this one year, I have found lots of amazing caches and have met lots of wonderful people. I have also been geocaching with GeoLorikeet high and low, on sunny days and miserable days, not so good caches (like a D1.5 Mint Tin In A Guard Rail) and good caches (Like At The Governers Pleasure or FerryMcFerrycache), Hard caches (like a nano on a whole big metal structure) and easy caches that are easily found. I also go crazy when I see the following email in my emails "New Cache". You get the point, we enjoy geocaching.

As you may or may not have noticed, I am using a different account to make this geocache. GeoEvent is an account shared by GeoMonkeyAU and GeoLorikeet. It does not make sense to make events under our own accounts as in the end, it will show up in our 'ARCHIVED' caches which sort of ruins our reputation if someone sees that we have too many ARCHIVED caches. Also, having an account for events makes it easier by a bit and makes things more organised. Therefore, it makes sense to make event caches under a different username.
