🌳🌳🌳 TREE CARE at MILLFIELDS 🌳🌳🌳
Last autumn we held our first CITO at Millfields, a lovely morning of tree care activities in the area of recently planted trees.
Because young trees need regular care to grow well we shall be returning to the site today to continue looking after them.
Come and join us as we spend the morning caring for the trees by clearing weeds, checking supporting canes and protective spiral tree guards and generally giving them the best conditions to grow and thrive.
Where: Meet up at 09:30 at the published coordinates. There is some on street parking on Millfields adjacent to the work site (see parking coords).
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary. Please bring work gloves if possible. If you wish to use your own tools (shears) please bring them along but don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have spares.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
There will be a mid-morning tea break with homemade cake provided, but please bring your own hot/cold drink.
