The April full moon is known as the pink moon.
Don't expect a rose-tinted moon- the name reflects the fact that spring has arrived and flowers are starting to bloom, particularly moss pink or creeping ground phlox. This perennial bloom is most often pink and popular with butterflies, another welcome sign of spring. In China, this is known as the Peony Moon, after another pink flower.
For this month's lunar celebration, we will gather by a depiction of the moon running the length of Plantation Alley. This will give you plenty of time to figure out the co-ordinates for Moonlit Alley II, the multi cache associated with this artwork.
Just a thirty minute event this month, time for some geo-chat and swapping of TBs whilst all the city commuters are rushing home. I look forward to meeting cachers old and new, from near and far.
This is the fourth of 12 planned events, to mark every full moon of 2024.
