10 years ago today, was the day I found my first geocache.
The first find was https://coord.info/GC469W1 - Erin, princess #2. Unfortunately,this was archived when the CO moved house.
However the first one searched for was nearby The Tipping Point (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC501RX) and this cache is still going strong. Many attempts were made before this one was finally located, eventually revealing itself 13 July and became find #120.
To put back something as a thank you for all the hours and hours of enjoyment Geocaching has provided, this CITO has been organised to clean up our gameboard in Stour Valley.
The path that we will be tackling runs behind several fast food outlets, and much of the litter originates from these outlets.
This event is generously supported by one of these well known fast food chains, who are supplying bags and removal of any rubbish that is collected - there is also the kind offer of a hot drink at the end.
The event will run for 1 hour commencing at 17:30. Meeting at the published coordinates with this issue of bags.
Please bring your own gloves and litter picking tools.
There are many parking placing in the area. On the trading estate it is free for 90 minutes, there is a pay & display along Birmingham Street and parking is also available at the nearby venue for the evening event (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCANBZV_10-years-ago-today) for those that wish to attend.
