Goodbye to the Emerald City!
Goodbye Seattle - A Farewell Event - 1600 to 1645
I fly out of Seattle later today as I depart the area after an amazing 3 years! Come talk geocaching, reminisce and swap some trackables. Hoping I get the chance to say goodbye to all the great caching friends I made in the area!
This event is being hosted in a Privately Owned Public Space (POPS). POPS are a type of public space that, although privately owned, are legally requried to be open to the public under a city's zoning ordiancen or other land-use law. These spaces are usually the product of a deal between cities and private real estate developers in which cities grant valuable zoning concessions and in return developers provide privately owned public spaces in or near their buildings. Privately owned public spaces commonly include plazas, arcades, small parks, and atriums. A list of Privately Owned Public Spaces in Seattle is mainted HERE on the City of Seattle's website.
The POPS you will be accessing to attend the event is a rooftop green space located above the 4th and Madison Building. Open Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1730, it is at its busiest during lunch hour when downtown workers take advantage of the quite space to enjoy a quick bite to eat. Please follow the instructions below to access the cache:
