PULLING GOATS RUE AT GREEN LANE RESERVE
Parking: There is some on street parking on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet up on Laxton Road near the footpath sign that leads down to Green Lane Reserve for 09:30 (see reference point), or after that find us in the Reserve (published coords).
What: Today's main task will be pulling Goats Rue, an invasive plant that we remove on an annual basis to prevent it taking over the Reserve. If we have time we will also start trimming the edges of the footpaths around the boundaries of the Reserve.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, loppers and secateurs please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring water and a drink for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
