Gambero73 and Exploradora73 - two geocachers from The Netherlands - are on holiday at the Azores. Finding caches and meeting other geocachers is part of our journey. We have attended several events when traveling abroad and every time it has been great to meet local and foreign geocachers. We like to do so at the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo. So we decided to arrange an event ourselves.

Bento de Góis (Vila Franca do Campo, juli 1562 — Suzhou, 11 april 1607), was a Portuguese Jesuit missionary and explorer. He is mainly remembered as the first known European to travel overland from India to China, via current day Afghanistan and the Pamir Mountains.
