The cache is not at the listed coordinates, which are at a crossroads in South Edinburgh. You don't need to go there.
THIS IS A BONUS CACHE: a 'reward' for those of you who have worked their way through 6 multis concerned with the history of South Edinburgh.
the first one is Jig Through Half a Dozen History Multis and featured Marchmont, Grange, Sciennes, Blackford, Bruntsfield and the Meadows.
This is the second such bonus, relating to the second set of six history multis.
YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE FOUND THE EARLIER BONUS TO DO THIS ONE.
TO FIND THIS ONE:
You must first of all find all 6 of the multis listed below. Once you have found all 6 multis, you'll be able to work out the bonus coordinates at home. BE CAREFUL: check again that you have the correct coordinates for the six feeder caches. You may have found some of them using checksums and geosense, but you need the correct numbers for this bonus. Also, if you were an 'early' finder, prior to October 2022, be aware that the cache at Tollcross was moved to a different location. You don't need to do it all over again, the questions and answers are the same, but you need to recalculate the final coordinates.
The 6 multis you need to find are:
Sally into the Southside
Knocking around Newington
Toddle Around Tollcross
Footerin' Aboot in Fountainbridge
Stravaiging around St Leonard's
Perambulate through Prestonfield
To find the cache you must do the following:
- Solve each of the 6 jigsaw puzzles. An instruction will pop up on the completed jigsaw.
- Identify which of the 6 suburbs of South Edinburgh each picture shows
- Use your solved coordinates for each multi to work out one digit for the final.
- put those answers in the correct order
- Now you have the final coordinates, go get it!
The cache is somewhere amongst the prickly gorse bushes (sorry) on Blackford Hill at
N55 55.NEWINGTON / FOUNTAINBRIDGE / PRESTONFIELD
W003 11.TOLLCROSS / SOUTHSIDE /ST LEONARD'S

The 'D' rating is high to reflect the amount of work you had to do to work out the coordinates. The 'T' rating is not too difficult but sadly, it will not be suitable for people with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair. IMPORTANT: If you did what I asked you to do, and have kept a note of the solved coordinates for the 6 'feeders', please go back to the cache page and check again in case something has changed. I'm always happy to help
The container has a fabulous prize for the FTF.
Please help yourself to a souvenir keyring (while stocks last).
