Le château de Chantilly est situé à Chantilly, dans le département de l'Oise, en région Hauts-de-France.
À l'exception du « Petit Château », construit au XVIe siècle par Jean Bullant, le château actuel est une reconstruction du XIXe siècle sur des plans de l'architecte Honoré Daumet pour l'avant-dernier fils du roi Louis-Philippe Ier, Henri d'Orléans, duc d'Aumale (1822-1897), héritier du domaine, qui y installe ses collections de peintures, de dessins et de livres anciens.
Il lègue l'ensemble à l'Institut de France, sous le nom de musée Condé.
Le château occupe l'emplacement d'une forteresse médiévale.
Les Grandes Écuries, construites de 1719 à 1740, chef-d'œuvre de l'architecte Jean Aubert, abritent aujourd'hui le musée du cheval.
Les jardins sont une des plus remarquables créations d'André Le Nôtre.

Un vrai conte de fée ce château pour moi depuis ma plus tendre enfance ….. il y a de ça 60 ans.
Que de photos ont été prises avec la famille puis les amis lors des pique-niques sur la pelouse avec toujours le château en arrière-plan.
Aujourd’hui c’est notre princesse canine qui prend la pose (voir photo)
Désolée pour ce bref moment de nostalgie.
Maintenant il est temps de passer aux choses sérieuses !

Vous pouvez bien entendu agrémenter vos photos de toutes les grimaces, postures et autres trucs tout en restant dans le domaine du correct.

Chantilly Castle is located in Chantilly, in the Oise department, in the Hauts-de-France region.
With the exception of the "Petit Château", built in the 16th century by Jean Bullant, the current castle is a 19th century reconstruction based on plans by the architect Honoré Daumet for the penultimate son of King Louis-Philippe I, Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale (1822-1897), heir to the estate, who installed his collections of paintings, drawings and old books there.
He bequeathed the whole to the Institut de France, under the name of the Condé museum.
The castle occupies the site of a medieval fortress.
The Great Stables, built from 1719 to 1740, a masterpiece by the architect Jean Aubert, today house the horse museum.
The gardens are one of André Le Nôtre's most remarkable creations.

A real fairy tale, this castle has been for me since my earliest childhood….. 60 years ago.
So many photos were taken with family and then friends during picnics on the lawn, always with the castle in the background.
Today it’s our canine princess who is posing.
Sorry for this brief moment of nostalgia.
Now it’s time to get down to business!
