🏯Tour Chinoise 🧧 - Virtual Reward 4.0 Virtual Cache

Pas besoin de voyager jusqu’à l’Empire Céleste pour découvrir cette curieuse tour, Epinal est bien plus proche ! Muni d’une bonne paire de chaussures, on gravit les 80 marches de l’escalier « à l’italienne » pour découvrir au sommet un magnifique panorama et accéder au Parc du Château...

Mais d’abord, un peu d’histoire : C’est en 1804 que Christophe Doublat, député du Conseil Général des Vosges, fait l’acquisition des ruines du Château d’Epinal, où il aménage un jardin paysager. Il décide alors de la construction de cette Tour en forme de pagode chinoise pour habiller l’escalier permettant d’accéder au site depuis sa demeure située en contrebas. Le style Chinois était très en vogue à cette époque.

Cette virtuelle se mariera à la perfection avec ma série de Labs Caches qui passe également par là.

You don't have to travel to the Celestial Empire to discover this curious tower, Epinal is much closer! Equipped with a good pair of shoes, we climb the 80 steps of the "Italian-style" staircase to discover a magnificent panorama at the top and access the Parc du Château...

But first, a bit of history: It was in 1804 that Christophe Doublat, deputy of the General Council of the Vosges, acquired the ruins of the Château d'Epinal, where he laid out a landscaped garden. He then decided to build this tower in the shape of a Chinese pagoda to cover the staircase leading to the site from his house below. The Chinese style was very much in vogue at that time.
