Le chateau de costaérès est en fait un gros manoir de style néo-médiéval caractéristique des grandes maisons de villégiature de la fin du XIXe siècle. Cette batisse fut achevée vers 1896, est édifiée sur un îlot acheté vers 1892 à un Perrosien qui y cultivait des pommes de terre et faisait sécher du lichen et du poisson. En effet, ce château a pris le nom de l’îlot d’un hectare sur lequel il a été construit : Costaérès qui vient de coz-seherez (kozh-sec’herezh en breton moderne) et qui signifie « vieille sècherie ». L’îlot est situé sur la commune de Trégastel, face aux plages de Tourony et de Saint Guirec (Ploumanac’h), et séparé de cette dernière par le chenal du port de Ploumanac’h formé par la rivière du grand Traouiero. A noter tout de meme que c’est un site privé, il ne se visite donc pas.
The Costaérès Castle is in fact a large manor house in the neo-medieval style, characteristic of the large holiday homes of the late 19th century. This building was completed around 1896 and was built on an islet purchased around 1892 from a Perrosian who grew potatoes there and dried lichen and fish. Indeed, this castle took the name of the one-hectare islet on which it was built: Costaérès which comes from coz-seherez (kozh-sec’herezh in modern Breton) and which means “old drying room”. The islet is located in the commune of Trégastel, facing the beaches of Tourony and Saint Guirec (Ploumanac'h), and separated from the latter by the channel of the port of Ploumanac'h formed by the Grand Traouiero river. Please note that this is a private site, so it cannot be visited.
L’aménagement intérieur de la villa aurait été conçu avec le bois de récupération d’un bateau échoué et l’édifice est réalisé en granit rose issu des carrières de La Clarté. Le toit est en ardoise. Durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la villa est réquisitionnée par l’ armée allemande, et subit quelques dommages intérieurs. Un incendie en 1990 détruit en partie l’ intérieur de l’édifice. De nombreuses personnalités polonaises sont venues séjourner à Costaérès, depuis l’Entre-deux-guerres, des personnalités du spectacle y séjournent. A noter : L’image du château sur son ilôt illustre cartes postales et guides touristiques de la Côte de Granit Rose et des Côtes-d’Armor, elle a sans aucun doute contribué au prix du plus beau village de France pour Ploumanac'h en 2015 !
The interior design of the villa was designed with wood recovered from a stranded boat and the building is made of pink granite from the La Clarté quarries. The roof is slate. During the Second World War, the villa was requisitioned by the German army, and suffered some internal damage. A fire in 1990 partly destroyed the interior of the building. Many Polish personalities have come to stay in Costaérès; since the interwar period, entertainment personalities have stayed there. Note: The image of the castle on its island illustrates postcards and tourist guides of the Côte de Granit Rose and Côtes-d'Armor, it undoubtedly contributed to the prize of the most beautiful village in France for Ploumanac'h in 2015 !
Cette géocache est une virtuelle, il n'y a donc pas de boite aux coordonnées qui est une propriétée privée, nous pouvons donc débarquer sur l'île en respectant de rester devant l'enceinte ...
Pour loguer la cache « trouvée », il faut simplement prendre une photo du Château de Costaérès avec votre pseudo géocaching ou avec vous devant si vous le désirez (le visage n'est pas obligatoire) ou avec un dessin du logo des virtuelles ou avec un géocoin des virtuelles, puis la mettre dans le log.
Il faut que ces 2 éléments apparaissent sur la photo pour que le log soit validé :
- Château de Costaérès
- Pseudo géocaching (sur un objet, sur votre main ou un papier)
En option et de maniére facultative vous pouvez comme moi vous déguisez en fantôme avec un simple drap blanc troué !!!
Il s'agit donc d'utiliser tous les moyens nautiques (bateau, canoë, kayak, paddle, planche à voile, etc.) pour se rendre à l'enceinte du Château de Costaérès. Tous les logs sans photos ou ne respectant pas ces 2 conditions seront considérés comme fantômatiques donc supprimés !!! Le fantôme de Costaérès ne raffolant pas des excuses comme halloween et sachant voler, j'ai disposer 6 waypoints d'où l'on peut voir le Château de Costaérès qui permettent les selfis que je vous joint en exemple ! Bien entendu, par temps de gros brouillard ou de pluie épaisse (ce qui est extrémement rare !) vous devrez attendre un bon coup de vent pour obtenir la photo requise acceptable !
This geocache is virtual, so there is no coordinate box which is private property, we can therefore disembark on the island while respecting to stay in front of the enclosure...
To log the “found” cache, simply take a photo of the Château de Costaérès with your geocaching nickname or with yourself in front if you wish (the face is not obligatory) or with a drawing of the virtual logo or with a geocoin of the virtual ones, then put it in the log.
These 2 elements must appear in the photo for the log to be validated :

Optional and optional, like me, you can disguise yourself as a ghost with a simple white sheet with holes !!!
It is therefore a question of using all nautical means (boat, canoe, kayak, paddle, windsurfing, etc.) to get to the surrounding wall of the Château de Costaérès All logs without photos or not respecting these 2 conditions will be considered ghostly and therefore deleted !!! The ghost of Costaérès does not like excuses like Halloween and knows how to fly, I have 6 waypoints from where we can see the Castle of Costaérès which allow the selfies that I am attaching to you as an example! Of course, in heavy fog or heavy rain (which is extremely rare !) you will have to wait for a good gust of wind to obtain the required acceptable photo !
