L'histoire des Hospices Civils de Beaune a commencé en 1443 par la volonté de Nicolas Rolin et Guigone de Salins de construire un hôpital : l'Hôtel-Dieu. Les fondateurs ont fait œuvre de charité et acte de mécénat, instituant ainsi une tradition qui a permis aux Hospices de Beaune de traverser l'histoire dans des conditions exceptionnelles.
Aujourd’hui, les Hospices Civils de Beaune regroupent le centre hospitalier de Beaune, les hôpitaux d’Arnay-le-Duc, Seurre et Nuits-St-Georges ainsi qu’un institut de formation formant aux métiers d'infirmiers et aides-soignants (subventionné par le Conseil Régional de Bourgogne). Le centre hospitalier Philippe Le Bon est l’établissement support du Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire du Sud Côte-d’Or.
L'originalité de cette institution hospitalière se situe dans l'importance et la nature de son patrimoine constitué d'une part d'un monument historique, l'Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, qui n'accueille plus de patients ni de résidents âgés depuis le début des années 1980, et d'autre part de deux prestigieux domaines viticoles – le domaine viticole des Hospices de Beaune et celui des Hospices de Nuits, gérés indépendamment, exploitant les meilleures appellations de Bourgogne et dont la production est vendue chaque année aux enchères. Ainsi par son patrimoine exceptionnel, cette institution hospitalière joue également un rôle de premier plan dans les activités majeures du territoire : le tourisme et le vin.
Pour valider votre visite, une seule condition : faites une photo de votre pseudo ou de vous-même (vous n'avez pas besoin de montrer votre visage), devant l'entrée principale des hospices de Beaune. Cette entrée se situe aux coordonnées de la cache et l'inscription "hostel-Dieu" doit être visible sur votre photo. Rattachez-la à votre log (ne pas envoyer la photo via la messagerie).

The history of the Hospices Civils de Beaune began in 1443 with the will of Nicolas Rolin and Guigone de Salins to build a hospital: the Hôtel-Dieu. The founders did charity work and act of patronage, thus establishing a tradition that allowed the Hospices de Beaune to cross history in exceptional conditions.
Today, the Hospices Civils de Beaune includes the hospital center of Beaune, the hospitals of Arnay-le-Duc, Seurre and Nuits-St-Georges and a training institute for nursing and nursing assistants (subsidized by the Regional Council of Burgundy). The Philippe Le Bon Hospital Centre is the support institution of the Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire du Sud Côte-d'Or.
The originality of this hospital institution lies in the importance and nature of its heritage, consisting on the one hand of a historical monument, the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, which no longer welcomes patients or elderly residents since the early 1980s, and on the other hand two prestigious wineries – the Hospices de Beaune and the Hospices de Nuits wineries, managed independently, exploiting the best appellations of Burgundy and whose production is sold each year at auction. Thus by its exceptional heritage, this hospital institution also plays a leading role in the major activities of the territory: tourism and wine.
To validate your visit, only one condition : take a photo of your nickname or yourself (you do not need to show your face), in front of the main entrance of the hospices de beaune. This entrance is at the coordinates of the cache and the inscription "hostel-Dieu" must be visible on your photo. Attach it to your log (do not send the photo via email).
