Geocache Description:

02 March 2024, 09:15 - 10:30

Kallang Basin, Marina Reservoir

Special thanks to ZacharyKZH for the event title.

Here's a CITO with a twist. We've spent the last few years talking walks in parks, both the clean(ed) and filthy ones, but let's take our pursuit of an extra trashy time to a new level by putting a splashy spin on it. We're going to have High T in the Kallang Basin, with a good dollop of CITO. That means: our first ever floating CITO, with a side of good food and good company.

Wait.. it's in the water? Rent any suitable watercraft, such as a kayak or canoe, that will get you safely to the middle of the Kallang Basin (published coordinates).

  • Participants should arrange their own rentals; there are no special reservations or arrangements in place for this event.
  • Should you have questions about rentals, do drop me a message.

If you will be using your own watercraft, you are responsible for ensuring that it complies with all local laws and regulations governing the use of that vessel in the Marina Reservoir.

Swimming in freshwater reservoirs is not permitted in Singapore. Please do not attempt to swim to the event.

Ok, I'm in. Write a "Will Attend" log in this listing telling us that you're coming! Then, simply show up that day at the published coordinates. Once again, please do not swim to the event.

What do I bring? Sun protection, drinking water, your preferred trash picking tools and supplies (trash bags, gloves, trash pickers, etc.), hand sanitising liquids/wipes, some easy-to-carry food and/or drink.

Optional: water-tight containers for personal items, proof of kayak/canoe certification.

Yucky weather? In the event of inclement weather before the event, updates will be provided through Announcement logs. The event will be called off if lightning risk and/or heavy rain remain(s) present past 9.45am. If the weather worsens part-way through the event, participants will be directed to return back to dry land.

Other questions? Drop me a message or write a Note on this event listing and I'll get back to you as soon as I am able.
