Cache In Trash Out®, Season 1: March 1–May 31
Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Example CITO events are picking up trash, removing invasive species, planting native vegetation, building trails, and more! The the event is based on your community’s needs.
Back in the early days of geocaching this park was the host site of a CITO event. The event drew geocachers from across the State to join other local groups in cleaning up the as yet undeveloped Falling Waters Trail before work on it begain. There were many people and they collected piles and dumpsters of just about anything you coud imagine.
This CITO will not be that involved or collect as much material. You should wear high boots as this park is in a wetlands and this time of the year can be quite wet. As this park gets a lot of usage, even through the winter, the community"s need is for trash pickup not just around the main cleared area but into the surronding wet land area as well.
Many hands will make short work of this so everyone come out!
