There are always so many things to do and such little time to do them in, so why not try to multitask today and join me for a geocaching event with a difference?
We will be meeting at Rui's Coffee Lounge at 53 Nutfield Road, South Merstham, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 3EN on Saturday 6th January 2024 between 13:30 and 14:00, to talk geocaching and celebrate January's 'augmented reality' Community Day.
Please note that this is an outdoor/indoor event under the gazebo, where there will be lots of caching talk, an event log to sign and a container for TBs, however, unfortunately due to the event's location it is unsuitable for large trackables, (anything that will not fit into a small coat pocket)!
Finally, attend this event and earn the first official souvenir of 2024 (details below).
So why not pop down to Rui's Coffee Lounge, and see if you can bag yourself a nearby cache, shiny Rowlet or unusual flying type along the way 😁

It’s been an exciting year full of friendships, laughs, and wonderful memories. As 2023 comes to a close, we know that many more memories await us in 2024.
Rather than write off the past, we want to take a moment to reminisce on the moments—and people—that made this year so special. More than ever, the geocaching community has created a sense of connection. Whether it was designing caches during Maker Magic, cleaning up community spaces at a CITO Event, grabbing some popcorn for GIFF, or attending one of the dozens of global Mega-Events, geocachers were there, making connections and lifelong friendships.
We invite you to celebrate memories, friendships, and the geocaching community with two new geocaching souvenirs. It’s time to say “Farewell to 2023” and “Greetings from 2024” and start a whole new adventure!
How can I earn each souvenir?
Earn Farewell to 2023 by finding any geocache, attending an Event, or completing an Adventure Lab® Location from December 24–31.
Earn Greetings from 2024 by finding any geocache, attending an Event, or completing an Adventure Lab® Location from January 1–8
