What's going on?
This is a simple event cache, in the style of last year's event. This may become a regular thing.
Coincidentally, (well, not at all really) Leinster Rugby is playing Ulster Rugby at the nearby RDS this afternoon - so it seemed like a helpful idea to facilitate the chaps from up North to come down for more than just an annual beating!
And anyone from the West or that unspeakable place down South are very welcome too! Wear your colours if you dare!
Where's it happening?
At the listed coordinates, obviously. That's on the public footpath outside two famous pubs in Ballsbridge - Paddy Cullen's and Crowe's. We'll see where we can find a corner to hold court. We'll aim for under the heat lamps. There is also a very good pizza shop right next door if you get hungry.
It is going to be busy
It is going to be extraordinarily busy, especially preceding kick-off at 5.30pm. You have been warned. It may not be ideal for smaller children, so if the wee ones are coming, you'll need to be extra mindful. Earlier it should be ok.
Parking
Public parking - free on a bank holiday - is available on many nearby streets. Public transport is a better idea with the DART to Landesdowne Rd, and frequent buses on the 4, 7, 7A and 7D from the city centre. Also there is a frequent service on the cross-town S2 bus.
