Why 'Lost in the City of Perspiring Dreams'?
All my events are local translations of 'Lost in...' the place I am visiting. The nickname 'City of perspiring dreams' was coined by the screenwriter Frederic Raphael in the 1970’s as a play on Oxford’s ‘dreaming spires’. It was adopted by the Cambridge Student Union and has stuck as one of the nicknames of the city.
Anyway, come and join me for a drink and a geochat during my brief stay in the city. I’ll happily take any recommendations about local caches, and while it is unlikely that I will fit them in on this visit, I am sure to return soon!
