January'S Splendid Spindle and Sapling Sowing Session
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (alternative parking).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 (alternative parking coords) or find us in Cliff's Wood (headline coordinates) or in the Railway Woodland (reference coords)
What: A number of volunteers having been tending tree sapplings from seed over the last couple of years and now it's finally time to plant them out! Join us as we carefully plant, stake and deerguard them.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have a shears, a lump hammer and spade please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have any tools as the ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please do bring a drink as it can be thirsty work!
