Aujourd'hui lieu de promenade, le Robec était jusqu'au XIXème siècle une rivière industrielle entrainant les roues à aubes des usines textiles et des moulins.
Nous vous proposons donc au travers d'un parcours d'environ 2 km de découvrir ce patrimoine historique tout en profitant de la nature.
Nous avons passé du temps à confectionner ces caches, prenez en soin et remettez les bien en place.
N'oubliez pas de vous munir d'une pince à épiler et d'une bouteille d'eau.
#4 MOULIN SAINT GILLES / EXPOTEC 103 :
Le Centre d’Histoire Sociale de Haute-Normandie a vocation à remettre en état les machines qui ont animé les usines de la région. Le moulin Saint-Gilles restauré est ainsi devenu le siège de l’association et le conservatoire des machines à vapeur, matériel d’imprimerie et autres métiers à tisser.Ce moulin est situé sur l'Aubette. Il apparaît au 12e siècle comme possession de l'abbaye Saint-Georges de Boscherville. Moulin à farine puis brièvement moulin à huile au 19e siècle, il se destine à nouveau à la farine puis est dédié au début du 20e siècle à la fabrication du mastic.
A l'endroit de la cache se trouve une chaudière pour machine à vapeur.

Today a place for walks, the Robec was an industrial river until the 19th century, powering the waterwheels of textile factories and mills.
We invite you to explore this historical heritage and enjoy nature along a route of approximately 1.24 miles.
We've spent time creating these caches, so please take care of them and put them back properly.
Don't forget to bring tweezers and a bottle of water.
#4 SAINT GILLES MILL / EXPOTEC 103:
The Center for Social History of Haute-Normandie aims to restore the machinery that powered the factories in the region. The restored Saint-Gilles mill has thus become the headquarters of the association and a conservatory for steam engines, printing equipment, and other weaving machines. This mill is located on the Aubette. It appears in the 12th century as a possession of the Abbey of Saint-Georges de Boscherville. Initially a flour mill, briefly an oil mill in the 19th century, it returned to producing flour and was dedicated in the early 20th century to the manufacture of putty.
At the location of the cache, there is a boiler for a steam engine.
