December's Dismissing Discomfort Deftly
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (alternative parking).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 (alternative parking coords) or find us working in the community woodland at the published coords, look out for the flag.
What: Join us caring for the community woodland trees. The tree planting in this area began in 2015, so many trees can now have stakes and ties removed. We will be checking trees, guards, ties, weeding and removing stakes from mature trees.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, a hammer, a lump hammer ,secateurs and a pair of scissors please do bring them along! Don't worry if you don't have them as the ranger will have a supply too.
Please do drop by if you have any time to spare, your help is invaluable.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
