This cache has been archived.

Donnacha: Thanks to everyone for attending the 2024 New Year's Resolution Event, which was the eighteenth edition of the event. Thanks also to my ladies for looking after the group in my absence. It was great to have our official event photographer Nigel back for taking our group photo. I have added the group photo taken by Nigel to the top of event page. Nigel also took some other great photos which he has attached to his log.

Post Event Walk

A walk will take place after the event at 10.30am that is optional and everyone is welcome to join at your own risk. This is not a guided walk and you are responsible for your own safety. The walk is a loop walk and will be following parts of the Dublin Mountain Way which starts and finishes at the event coordinates. The walk is approximately 8K in length with approximately 260 meters accent, and will take around 3 hours to complete, including taking in some caches located on the loop.

Walking boots are a must on this route as some sections may be muddy and slippy. We will be out in the open so it is essential to dress appropriately for the conditions and you should have warm clothes, wet gear, water and food with you. It is your own responsibility to ensure you have what you need. Anyone not dressed appropriately may be asked to stay behind.
