An Event to Celebrate the end of an Epic Journey.150years after its innaugration
Originally seen as a bit of Fiction but later proved to be possible in real life and in fact bettered by a few
Be on time or you will miss the ghost of Phileaus Fogg entering the Reform Club at 20:45 as he returns after travelling round the world in what he thinks is 81 days only to realise that the direction of travel meant he had gained a day therefore he won the wager. Sadly the Club has not returned my inquiries about a room for the event, therefore we will be standing on the pavement under the stars (Come prepared for a fight with the elements)
Dont forget to drop a TB into the pot to exchange and give them a chance to go round the world
Jules Verne originally published the story in installments starting on the 2nd of October and the last part on the 21st of December 1872 but it was not put together and sold as a complete book umtil 1873,therefore we Celebrate 150 years since the book "Le Tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours" was published in French and then translated into "Around the world in Eighty Days"
What more fitting way to complete the caching challenge other than to sign into this event on the same log (globe) as used at the start of the challenge, endorsing it with a different coloured pen. This means look out for me, wrapped against the elements carrying, a pole to which an inflatable globe is attached outside "The Reform Club, Pall Mall, London"
