Geocache Description:

27 January 2024, 13:00 - 14:00

LET'S CELEBRATE!

Fun, Friends, and Fellowship are the three core items that started it all 19 1/2 years ago at the first Midwest Geobash Event. Event caches are a great way to meet new people, meet up with your old Geo-Friends, explore new places, and share memories. Events can be a one time gathering, once a month, or a time to meet up with others once a year. So let's get together and have an event! But not just any event, a Halfway to Midwest Geobash Event!! We can share stories about our favorite Geocaches and events, grab a bite to eat or even enjoy a cold beverage.

When: Saturday, January 27, 2024

Time: 1-2 pm (EST)

Where: Rubera's Restaurant

Address: 360 Main Street, Otego, NY 13825

This event is one of several events being held today to mark the halfway point to Midwest Geobash 2024. "Bash" as it is known to most who have attended the event, is held each year in Wauseon, Ohio. 2024 marks the 20th year Geocachers from all over the country as well as the world have been coming together to enjoy Fun, Friends, and Fellowship. Happy 19 1/2 Birthday Midwest Geobash!!

*Event note:
We have reserved HALF of the dining room for this HALFWAY gathering. Rubera's is a small family friendly venue and all are welcome to attend, however, I'm sorry no geopups inside the venue unless they are service dogs.  No purchase is necessary to attend this event, but the hosts have ordered HALF pepperoni pizzas and a few HALF dozen of wings to share, so come enjoy a bite.  There will be HALF a birthday cake, too!

Whether you stop in for a few minutes and have a slice of pizza or cake, or stay awhile longer to chat about your plans to go to MidWest Geobash in July, time spent with geocachers is always fun!  If you hang around there may be a few parlor games, door prize goodies, and adventures to be had!
