Welcome to Wagga Wagga
Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to travel to the Wagga Wagga area in the beautiful Riverina Region of NSW for our 2024 Expedition during the weekend of the 23rd/24th/25th February.
Wagga Wagga is around a five hour drive from Sydney or Melbourne and just under three hours from Canberra. Why not come along and make a long weekend of it, perhaps as a stop-over on your way to the South Australian Mega Event in Adelaide on the 29th February.
There are lots of fabulous geocaches to be found in this region so why not team up with a few friends and enjoy a fantastic period of geocaching fun.
On the Sunday morning, we will meet in a local park for an enjoyable breakfast Meet'n'Greet get-together before heading our separate ways.
Event details are as follows:
Date: Sunday, 25th February, 2024.
Location: Victory Memorial Gardens, Wagga Wagga.
Time: 8:00am to 9:00am.
How to Find Us: Just look for our Geocaching NSW banner near the picnic tables.
What to Bring: Grab some brekkie and a take-away coffee from a nearby cafe if you wish. There is some seating but a portable chair might also be a good idea.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee (instant) and biscuits will be available.

There is accommodation available around the Wagga Wagga region. An internet search will come up with a number of options for you to choose from.
Events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software and share stories about the latest caching adventure. You may even pick up a hint or two on those annoying DNFs.
