Geocache is NOT at the posted coordinates but is located a short distance away. Navigate your way to the nearby cemetery just to the north of the posted coordinates. This is a very simple challenge of the asphalt series and this requires you to have at least 40 finds in each of the three Michigan counties that M40 lies in (Allegan, Van Buran & Cass). As of the publishing of this geocache I have 800+ finds in Allegan County, 400+ in Van Buren county and 54 in Cass County.

M-40 is the main north-south State trunk line that runs from US31 near Holland to US12 near the Indiana State line at the southern end. Hamilton, Allegan, Gobles & Paw Paw are a few of the major towns that this trunk line runs through. It is just over 74 miles in length. At one time Michigan 40 used to terminate at the Northern end in in Holland near where evergreen Commons is now but was scaled back in the mid-90s to its current termination point at US 31 at which point then the city assumed control of that portion which is now part of Lincoln avenue and Michigan avenue in Holland.
