Calling all geocachers who are able to join us here for this event. Logging your attendance will be rewarded with a CITO 2023 Season 2 souvenir on your personal profile.
Where; Blue Lagoon, (meeting at the Information Sign).
When; Sunday November 19th 2023 @ 10:30am-11:30am.
What; Graffiti cleaning and litter picking.
Some of you maybe aware of the CITO held here in the Blue Lagoon during mega:MK in August. You might have even been along to join us on that occasion. We had a huge positive impact here in, with everything we achieved in August. As such we have been asked by the council coordinator for the Blue Lagoon asking if we could help out again. It was perfect timing too, because we are in the Season 2 CITO souvenir 2023 period.
in August we could not gain access to this second sign at the site due to the extensive redevelopments being undertaken at the time. Now with all the works completed we are free to get to the sign. We will be using the same graffiti removal wipes, so please can you bring some protective gloves to use them, washing up gloves are perfect.
The other options this event is a litter pick. I am hoping to borrow some litter pickers and bag hoops for the day. However, if you have your own equipment it would be helpful if you were able to bring it with you please. I will bring bin bags along.
It is advisable for you to have protective gloves for any litter picking. Of course, this time of year, we may be needing more than one pair of gloves for warmth. But equally, we came up with a resolution for this too, with Scot's Sports and Social Club not far away, we can encourage a warm up there as 'Roundabout MK Meets #43b; Post CITO Warm up@Scots'
The main car park is open now following the redevelopment upgrades recently. However, I have added a further waypoint for parking that is closer to Scot's Sports and Social club for the follow up event if you prefer it😉.
Please log a 'will attend' where possible so that I can bring enough bags along on the day.
I have been asked to convey the kind thanks of Laura Clancy, of Milton Keynes City Council, for the volunteers that give up their time to improve the Blue Lagoon with each event we host here.
We hope Mother Nature is relatively kind to us on the day, but please be sure to bring warm clothing, just in case🤞🏻
