Attend a CITO between September 1st and November 30th to earn the Season 2 Souvenir
TRIMMING HEDGES AND PATH EDGES IN THE LONG MEADOW
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the Reserve (Parking area / Meet-up point).
Where: Meet by the main gate to Horsbere Reserve at 09:30 or after that find us in the Long Meadow (published coords). Please see the waypoint for path to the Long Meadow.
What: We will be continuing our work in the (very) Long Meadow, keeping the footpaths clear by trimming the hedgerow, cutting back any brambles and branches that are encroaching onto the paths and into the grassland.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary. Please bring work gloves if possible. If you wish to use your own tools (shears, loppers, saw) please bring them along but don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring water and maybe a hot drink / snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
