Frederick Bean Avery, dit Tex Avery, né au Texas et décédé en 1980 est un réalisateur de films d'animation.
Il est à l’origine du style farfelu des cartoons hollywoodiens des années 1940. Tex Avery a travaillé pour les studios Universal, Warner Bros. et Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), et est connu pour ses créations d'univers aux situations délirantes et un style contraire de celui de Walt Disney avec une tournure corrosive absolument non conventionnelle.
Blitz Wolf, parodie des Trois Petits Cochons est un film de propagande américain, faisant passer Hitler pour un abruti est nommé à l'Oscar du meilleur court-métrage d'animation.
Tex Avery, discret par nature, est devenu une référence sur le tard, ses cartoons ont souvent été l'objet de censure.

Wolfie, d’abord Hitler, puis rendu littéralement fou par Red se met à siffler, hurler, trépigner, ses yeux sortant littéralement de sa tête, sa langue tombant sur la table à chaque apparition de la pin-up. Scène devenue culte.
