Geocache Description:

14 January 2024, 12:00 - 15:00

This will be the 11th Annual event to welcome in the new year at the HiTide, Porthcawl, CF36 5BT. This year we've taken over the mantle from the former event organisers Mollyjak, but expect the format to be very similar. And also expect a certain voice to still ring over the crowd if you lot get too boisterous.

There will be:

Plenty of free parking.

Food available - carvery and bar menu.

We will be in the bigger room on the right. Head towards the bar, then aim for the door to the right of the carvery table. Usually the HiTide put a sign on the door.

Trackables - There will be a dedicated pick-up and drop-off point for trackables. But, please don't leave any huge trackables for us to have to do something with. Otherwise, you may very well find that your name is mud for the foreseeable future.

This year we will be partaking in "Mingle Bingo" and a few other games. As normal, nothing is compulsory. There will be other activities for children too. So do feel free to bring them along. 

There will be a fundraising raffle to raise money for the Annual South Wales Event in May. Please do contribute a few raffle prizes if you can.

Mollyjak will be there, keeping a watchful eye on us, but will also have her camo bags available. If anyone wants camo bags of particular sizes please let her (or us) know. 

If this is your first event you are most welcome, come along and join in the chat. The venue is by the sea, so either before or after the event you can enjoy a refreshing walk along the beach.
