The task:
The Scotsgrove Brook arises from the chalk in Little Kimble, flows past Bishopstone and through Ford before skirting Haddenham and joining the Kingsey Cuttle Brook. Our conservation efforts will focus on a section of the stream within Ford.
Help us manage the vegetation along the stream banks to increase sunlight penetration, enhance habitat diversity, and optimise the flow of this waterway. You'll be actively involved in tasks such as cutting, sawing, and stacking excess vegetation that shades the brook.
What to bring:
-
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation.
-
Please bring plenty of fluids.
-
We will bring a tea kit and biscuits!

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to discuss anything further.
