For the second time in as many months, we look forward to returning once again to Pinner Village Gardens, as the Friends have asked for Geocachers to come back for another season of pond wading. The unusual weather so far this year has meant that despite our great work last year, the pond has once again exploded with vegetation and needs to be reduced. So while we will have non-aquatic work to be done as well, the primary goal for this Cache in Trash Out is to have people in waders in the pond itself, pulling out plants under direction. There will be above water work - primarily moving that debris away in wheelbarrows.
As we only have a single pair of waders, we would ask you to bring your own if you have a pair as this will really help out. There will only be space in the pond for a few people at a time (it's not a huge pond by any degree), so if we get more than a few people with waders to attend, then we'll be able to take turns.
There will be some cakes and snacks available for attendees. When logging Will Attends, please state if you are able to bring a pair of waders. This will be the final wading CiTO here for the year, although we are already planning on two in the spring as we look to replant the pond as well as pull out the invasive vegitation.
