Geocache Description:

10 December 2023, 15:00 - 17:00

 

Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to come along to our Christmas Party. Join us for some fun, celebrate together and share your geocaching stories.

Here are the details.


Date: Sunday, 10th of December, 2023.

Time: 3pm until 5pm.

Where: Brooklyn Oval - Baden Powell Avenue, Brooklyn.

Parking: Free, nearby.

How to find us: Look for the GCNSW Banner attached to our gazebo.

Theme: Come dressed in your most festive outfit or daggiest Christmas sweater. There will be a prize for the best outfit or the daggiest sweater.

What to Bring: Chair, picnic blanket, sunscreen, hat.
The event is bring your own everything, but feel free to bring a plate of something festive to share.
There are cafes and a pub in town, but they can get busy on weekends.


Facilities: There are picnic tables, BBQ facilities, drinking water, toilets nearby and a playground for the kids.

Getting there: By car or the train station is a 15 minute walk.

Games: We will have a toss the mint tin competition with a prize for the winner.

Special surprise guest: Santa will arrive at 4pm, so a good time to get your Christmas photos with the kids.The group photo will happen once the kids have had their photo taken.

Please note - Geopups are allowed but must be on a leash.

The 2022-2023 Geocache Of The Year winners will be announced at the event.


New geocachers are most welcome to attend as it's a great way to meet the local geocaching community and pick up some tips on any aspect of the game. Don't forget you can swap travel bugs and Geocoins at the event. The Association will also have a number of geocaching related items for sale.
