Le carnotzet bourgeoisial
Le carnotzet se trouve dans un bâtiment historique du village au coeur de village de Vernamiège.. Cet étage était, avant sa transformation par la bourgeoisie, un appartement. La structure en a été conservée : du côté amont, partie en pierre avec le foyer, où se trouvait la cuisine. Du côté aval, structure en bois, se trouvait la chambre où toute la famille dormait. La zone cuisine sert toujours de cuisine, la partie chambre est aménagée en salle à manger.
A noter le fourneau en pierre ollaire chauffant la chambre, mais alimenté depuis le foyer se trouvant dans la cuisine. Une armoire et de nombreuses channes marquées de l'année 1858 sont présentes. A l'extérieur se trouve la pierre avec date du four banal (démoli dans les années 1970). Au-dessus de la porte se trouve également en fronton une pierre de taille avec la date 1585.
Il sied de relever que les statues restaurées, présentées dans l’église ont été retrouvées dans la maison bourgeoisiale. Il est possible qu’elles se trouvaient dans la chapelle Saint-Antoine (mentionnée en 1461) et entreposées dans la maison bourgeoisiale lors du remplacement de la chapelle par l’église actuelle (1913).
The bourgeois carnotzet
The carnotzet is located in a historic building in the village in the heart of the village of Vernamiège. Before it was converted by the bourgeoisie, this floor was used as a flat. The structure has been preserved: on the upstairs side, there is a stone section with a fireplace, where the kitchen was located. On the downstairs side, the wooden structure housed the bedroom where the whole family slept. The kitchen area is still used as a kitchen, while the bedroom has been converted into a dining room.
Note the soapstone stove heating the bedroom, but fed from the fireplace in the kitchen. There is a cupboard and a number of doors marked with the year 1858. Outside is the stone with the date of the communal oven (demolished in the 1970s). The pediment above the doorway also features an ashlar with the date 1585.
It should be noted that the restored statues displayed in the church were found in the town house. It is possible that they were in the Saint-Antoine chapel (mentioned in 1461) and stored in the town hall when the chapel was replaced by the current church (1913).
