Scituate Beach Series
Scituate is a coastal town with numerous beautiful beaches. Locals often get the question, "Which is the best beach to visit?" This series of caches is located at each of Scituate's beaches.
Museum Beach is a scenic beach located on the interior of Scituate Harbor. It is a wonderful location for scenic photos with a sweeping backdrop that includes Scituate Lighthouse, hundreds of boats in the harbor, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The beach gets its name from the F.N. Damon Curio Museum that operated here during the later part of the 1800s to the 1920s. Museum Beach was also used for the drying of irish moss, thus making this beach one of the most highly used beaches in Scituate during its early days.
Enjoy!
