As a little girl, my family vacation was frequently a camping trip in a park but although I took my kids camping when they were little, we didn't do the same type of trips. When my youngest child headed off to college, C and I dropped her off at school and kept driving to visit some beautiful places. I was surprised at how many national parks there are in some of the states we visited. During several of these trips, we bought National Park passes and hiked in some amazing locations. To get the coordinates for this cache, you'll need to follow our family's travels, together, solo or in pairs.
My favorite park, which I really wanted to visit again was Bryce but it took us a couple of years before we got there. On another trip we went to Mesa Verde plus the Grand Canyon. . . history and beauty and awe inspiring views. Arches was another favorite park, and M was able to visit there recently and go hiking. He also went to Death Valley, which I had visited a couple of years ago.
As a teen, I visited the Redwood National Park where you could walk or even drive a car through the base of one of the trees. That was pretty cool. On one of our few big family excursions, all four of us went Denali. It was early on in our caching career, but we managed to find a few caches while we were there. A couple of years ago I met a friend to attend a Yuma mega event. One of our side trips was to Joshua Tree which was a fun segue. For variety, I'll mention a visit C and I made quite a while back to Wind Cave National Park. I have always enjoyed caves and caverns and this did not disappoint.
