22 July 2023, 2:30pm - 4:30pm (14.30 - 16.30)
Come along to the Kent County Cachers monthly meet on Minster Leas Beach, Isle of Sheppey to meet with other local cachers and talk about all things geocaching, whether you're stuck on how to solve a particular puzzle, can't find that elusive container, want to find someone to walk a series with or just enjoy a chat with like-minded people.
The log book will be available from 2.30 pm but we may be early and if you want to make a day of it the beach here is lovely. Bring the family for a day at the seaside.
Everyone is welcome, whether you've found just 1 cache, 1,000 or 10,000.
Bring a picnic, beach ball, boat, bathing costume or whatever else you fancy. High tide is at 16.06 pm so it won’t be far to go for a swim or a paddle and being July it should be warm! Dogs are allowed on this end of the beach so you can bring your furry friends too.
Last year we had lots of fun with boats and hopefully, that fun will be continued this year again.
There are no facilities nearby though, so bring everything you need, or be prepared for a 400m walk to the nearest cafe, ice cream van and toilets (by the Main Parking point, so you could stop there on your way to the event). There are lots of benches on the promenade, or bring a deckchair for the beach. Feel free to stay longer than the end of the meet if you’re having lots of fun!
